New Features/ Added Efficiency
AirCare Automation has updated our line of VariPhaseTM single-phase AC motor controls to enhance the range of applications these drivers can can be used for. The modifications provide additional interface features, improved closed loop speed regulation, and often eliminates the need for additional bias power for the sensor.

New Features:
  • Network Interface pins on the VariPhase have been removed to make room for additional Analog Interfaces.
  • A second Analog Input (designated ANA2) added, allowing any sensor (feedback) that has a 0-5 volt output to provide closed-loop regulation automatically.
  • Additional bias power of 12V added, with sufficient output to meet most needs of sensors used.
These features now allow the AirCare VariPhaseTM to be controlled in 3 distinct modes: Open-loop control - no feedback just open loop speed control Closed-loop "speed" control - close loop with Hall/tach sensor for RPM control. Closed-loop analog control - Any sensor feedback with 0-5 volt output range. In closed loop mode, the full capability of of the VariPhase PID control loop can be utilized making loop stability and rapid performance an easy task.

The AirCare VariPhaseTM line is available now in ratings of 1 ampere to 14 amperes. All VariPhase units have the same I/O characteristics, allowing consistency of features and deployment giving true power translatable solutions to the market. Network register settings and analog interface (7-way connector) have been standardized to be the same. These new features are easy to access and set-up through the RJ-45 Network using standard MODBUS RTU protocol or more easily through our AirCare ConsoleTM.

With the improved AirCare VariPhaseTM closed loop control of a fan system is now easy to set-up, maintain, and monitor.
